Impressions from the Mini Maker Faire Salzburg 2018

Hello and welcome to a slightly different post.

On Saturday, October 10th, 2018, the Mini Maker Faire 2018  instead of.

We were there as visitors and were very impressed by the event, so we would like to show you some impressions here.

Entrance area

The event was all about promoting young talent. Already in the entrance area there were many tables at which young makers were encouraged to participate.

 Panels

There was a large number of interesting presentations in a separate area. The participants got radio headphones and were able to follow the lectures in peace and quiet while a few meters further work was being done.

 Great Hall

There was always a lot going on in the large hall.

 DOIT

In the DOIT: Tinker workshop, visitors were able to carry out complete projects on numerous laptops. There was enough space and the team was on hand with advice and action.

Arcade

A team from the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences courses Multi-MediaTechnology and MultiMediaArt were at the Maker Faire with an arcade cabinet. Interested parties could try out a game they had developed themselves.

The guys from technikforum.space had set up several Arduino-based projects and answered the many questions patiently and with a lot of humor.

Likes!

This professional-looking device from the technikforum allows e.g. to get more likes in an almost honest way.

Handcraft

At many stands, visitors were encouraged to participate.

retroguru

One of my personal highlights was the stand of retroguru. The Amiga 500 has lost none of its charm in 2018, and thanks to the very nice games from Retroguru, the interest among the young audience was very high.

A very talented team with great attention to detail creates games that run on retro hardware (Amiga, Dreamcast), as well as on modern PCs and the Raspberry Pi.

 Tetris table

A little to the side was a small living room table with an Arduino-controlled Tetris game. I've been working on a similar project for some time now - nothing more will be revealed here.

HTBLuVA Salzburg was also represented with several projects. As an example here the electric car with the appropriate name "Scorpion".

Our conclusion: the event was very well organized, the atmosphere was great, and a lot was offered especially for the young makers.

Ich war auch auf der Mini Maker Fair in Salzburg. Es war super cool und lässig. Schade das ich AZ-Delivery nicht getroffen habe. Bin mit den Produkten sehr zufrieden. Habe schon einiges bestellt bei euch.
